Hamidou Bah Murder Trial Proceeds, PW5 Testifies

PW5 in Hamidou Bah murder trial ongoing at the Kanifing High Court presided over by Justice Isatou Janneh on Wednesday continued.

In his testimony, Momodou M. Jarjue sergeant officer 3711 at Kololi police station said he recognized the witness as he took his cautionary and voluntary statement and that he told the accused that anything he said here (at the station) will be tendered in court and the statement, he said it was taken in the presence of an independent witness.

The cautionary statement and voluntary statement were shown to the witness and he confirmed it to be the voluntary and cautionary statement of the accused.

The state later tendered the two statements as evidence and it was admitted by the court as an exhibit while the court later discharged the witness. 

State counsel Alieu A Marong applied for an adjournment to call their next witness.

Meanwhile, according to the statement of his offense Modou Ndow is charged with Murder. The particulars of his offense stated that Modou Ndow on or about the 2nd day of July 2022 at Kololi allegedly caused the death of Hamidou Bah by stabbing him with a pair of scissors.

Justice Isatou Janneh however adjourned the matter to 3rd May at 1 pm, 8th May at 11 am, and 17th May at 11 am for continuation.
