Parliamentary candidate says man hospitalised since freed by Senegalese soldiers

A Gambian man among a trio arrested and taken to Senegal during January skirmishes between Senegalese soldiers and Casamance rebels is hospitalized.

Almami Gibba who filed nominations for April parliamentary elections told reporters in Brikama that Fabakary Bojang is being hospitalized since their release in February and he’s in a critical condition.

“I am saying to you immediately I step out of this IEC office; I am going to the hospital. Why because Fabakary Bojang who was kidnapped and taken to Senegal for days or weeks. Today he is in a sick bed. He cannot even talk,” he explained.

Mr Gibba disclosed that he and Fabakary both have political motive before however, Fabakary has lost his belongings and cash of over D40, 000.00. He re-echoed his intention of visiting him in the hospital. While he added that he is ready to sacrifice his life for the saviour of Foni and the Gambia at large saying they are not independent as they are still enslave.

“The justice is now being ruined and the people are suffering both day and night. Security is a problem; food is a problem. It is high time the youth take over the country and change the narrative in the national assembly. Not a rubber stamp, but a national assembly that will stand for the aspirations and minds of the people to make sure the laws are enacted and protected and stand firm to make sure that Foni that Gambia is protected,” he informed his followers and supporters.
