Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) FC goalkeeper Alagie Saikou Kassama has set a new league record after registering 18 clean sheets during the 2025/26 football season.
Kassama achieved the milestone following another shutout performance as GPA continued its strong campaign in the GFF First Division League.
The goalkeeper’s record-breaking season has been marked by consistent performances, with his contributions helping GPA maintain one of the league’s strongest defensive records.
Throughout the campaign, Kassama played a key role in the club’s success, producing crucial saves and providing leadership from the back as GPA remained among the league’s top-performing teams.
The achievement underscores both the goalkeeper’s individual consistency and the collective defensive organisation of the GPA side during the season.
The 18 clean sheets represent the highest number recorded by a goalkeeper in a single league campaign, establishing a new benchmark in Gambian domestic football.
Kassama’s accomplishment comes as the league season approaches its conclusion, further highlighting his contribution to GPA’s performances throughout the campaign.
