The Serrekunda West Sports Organisation (SWESO) has announced that it will hold a technical meeting for all approved qualifying teams on 20 June as part of preparations for the 2026 SWESO Qualifying Tournament.
According to the organisation, the meeting will bring together team officials, competition organisers and other stakeholders to finalise administrative and technical arrangements ahead of the start of the qualifiers.
SWESO said the meeting is intended to ensure that participating teams have a clear understanding of the rules, regulations and operational procedures that will govern the competition.
Key items on the agenda include a review of the tournament’s rules and regulations, covering player eligibility requirements, disciplinary measures, match procedures and other guidelines aimed at ensuring fairness and transparency throughout the competition.
The meeting will also feature the official draw for the qualifying round, during which participating teams will learn their opponents and the route they must take to secure qualification.
SWESO has urged all approved teams to ensure that their representatives attend the meeting, noting that important decisions and information relating to the competition will be communicated.
The organisation said the gathering will also provide an opportunity for team representatives to seek clarification on competition regulations, raise concerns and engage directly with members of the organising committee.
SWESO described the meeting as an important milestone in preparations for the 2026 football season and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a well-organised, competitive and transparent qualifying tournament.
The qualifiers are expected to begin following the completion of the technical and administrative processes.
