Lamin Jarju scores 1st Senegalese Ligue 1 goal for Casa Sports

Gambian attacker, Lamin Jarju has scored his first Senegalese Ligue 1 goal of the season after netting the only goal during Casa Sports 1-0 win over CNEPS Excellence in their week-6 fixture of the Senegalese Ligue 1 played at the Stade Aline Sitoe Diatta football field in Casamance.

The former Elite United offensive midfielder scored his side’s only goal after converting a penalty in the 39th minute of the first half.

Jarju who is playing a key role since joining the Casamance-based team, is still one of the key figures in the Casa Sports team.

This victory has maintained Casa Sports lead at the top of the Senegalese Ligue 1 table on 12 points, while CNEPS Excellence dropped 8th position with 8 points leveling with Generation Foot, Guediawaye and Mbour Petite Cote respectively.

Lamin Jarju, who moved to Senegalese side Casa Sports two seasons ago, guided his Casa Sports side to triumph in the Coupe de Senegal after defeating Diambar 1-0 in the final in October 2021.

He (Lamin Jarju) was very instrumental in Casa Sports win as he secured his first trophy in Senegal.

Lamin Jarju and Casa Sports will next travel away to play Pikine during their week-7 fixture on Saturday 1st January 2021.
