The Gambia will host the Zone II Indoor Volleyball Qualifying Tournament for the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Men’s Nations Cup from 17 to 21 June 2026 at the Independence Stadium Indoor Sports Hall in Bakau, the Gambia Volleyball Federation (GVBF) has announced.
The tournament will bring together senior men’s national teams from Senegal, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Cape Verde, Sierra Leone, Mauritania and host nation The Gambia.
The competition will serve as the qualifying tournament for the CAVB Men’s Nations Cup, with participating teams competing for places at the continental championship.
According to the GVBF, the event is expected to attract athletes, coaches, officials and supporters from across the West African region.
The federation has also invited media organisations, sports journalists, photographers, videographers and content creators wishing to cover the tournament to apply for accreditation.
Accredited media personnel will have access to match coverage, interviews and official tournament activities throughout the competition.
