Walimang salvage late draw as Jalikasa return to winning ways

Walimang FC secured a late equaliser while Jalikasa FC returned to winning ways as Matchweek Eight of the NBRFA 2025–2026 Third Division League produced closely contested fixtures in both the Western and Eastern Zones.

At Kanuma Football Field in the Western Zone, Jalikasa FC edged Edinburgh FC 1-0 to end a three-match losing streak. Modou Manneh scored the decisive goal in the 26th minute, handing his side a vital home victory.

In the Eastern Zone, 2nd Infantry FC and Noo Kunda United played out a goalless draw at the Farafenni Mini Stadium in a match marked by defensive discipline but limited attacking opportunities. Both sides shared the points in what was considered a crucial encounter in the battle to avoid relegation.

Meanwhile, Walimang FC fought back to earn a 1-1 draw against Blacka FC at the Saaba Football Field. Abass Kinteh had given Blacka the lead in the 55th minute, but Abdou Njie struck in stoppage time (90+2) to rescue a point for Walimang.

The results leave Walimang maintaining their position at the top, while Jalikasa’s victory provides a boost as the competition progresses.
