The Banjul International Convention Centre Limited (BICC) has formalised a new strategic partnership with the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association (EABA) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed during a virtual ceremony on 24 November 2025.
The agreement was endorsed by BICC’s Chief Executive Officer, Ambassador Yankuba Dibba, and EABA Chairman, Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi. The signing marks a major step toward strengthening collaboration between the two institutions and enhancing joint initiatives across the African continent.

According to both parties, the MoU underscores their shared commitment to fostering deeper engagement, promoting capacity building, and facilitating knowledge exchange. The partnership will support the organisation of conferences, networking platforms, and business development forums, while also exploring opportunities for shared investments that benefit their member networks.
Officials say the collaboration will further reinforce BICC’s efforts to position The Gambia as a regional hub for conferences, business tourism, and high-level strategic partnerships to drive sustainable development.
