‘The Accused Broke into my House and Stole my Properties’-PW1 Says

The police prosecution witness Sulayman Bah explained how the accused, Jalamang Bah broke into his house and stole valuable properties that amounted to D21,300 at Kubariku Village in West Coast Region.

PW1, Sulayman Bah in his testimony alleged that the accused Jalamang Bah broke into his house and stole valuable properties that amounted to D21,300, presided over by magistrate Agi Bintou Faal at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court.

“On the 7th of October 2022 I drove a customer in a taxi to Senegambia Beach Hotel at night and I returned home lately where I found many people at my house who said that a thief broke into my house and stole a sum of D5,300, two smartphones, and other valuable materials”, PW1 noted.

He added that a black jacket and a pair of shoes were found at the scene of the crime that belongs to the accused but the accused denied ownership of the said materials.

Couple 4624 Alhagie Jallow applied to the court for the said black jacket and a pair of shoes to be admitted as exhibit which was granted by the presiding Magistrate A.B Faal.

The particular offense filed by the police prosecutor before the court revealed that Jalamang Bah on the 7th October 2022 at Kubariko Village stole the following items:  cash of D5300, a Spark 5 Pro smartphone valued at D700, Techno mobile phone valued at D9000, and a bag containing a jumper, school shoes and pair of scissors at an unknown cost that all totaled to D21,300, properties of Ebrima Jallow, Awa Jallow and Lamin Bah, thereby committed an offence.
