Ablie Jallow scores for Seriang on return from injury

Scorpion’s attacker Ablie Jallow scored for his Belgian topflight side FC Seriang during their 2-2 draw against Oostende in their week-33 fixture of the Belgian Pro League played at the Albertpark on Saturday.

The 23-year-old scored his side’s opening goal in the 7th minute of the game, before Georges Mikautadze struck in the 90+1 minute of the second half.

Oostende came from behind twice to restore purity after Ibrahima Cisse’ own-goal in the 39th minute and Makhtar Gueye finished in the 90+3 minute.

The Bundung-born player, Ablie Jallow has now scored his fifth goal of the season for Seriang after playing 25 matches.

Due to his fine performance during the game, former Real de Banjul player Jallow was awarded the Man of the Match award.

The Gambian international who played a key role in the Scorpions maiden Afcon tournament has returned to the pitch for his Belgian side after sustaining an injury at the Afcon tournament in Cameroon.

‘Germano’ as he is fondly called turn pro after signing a five-year contract with Ligue 1 side Metz in July 2017 from Senegalese side Generation Foot.

In September 2019, he moved on loan to Ajaccio. In August 2020, Jallow again left Metz on loan, joining Belgian club Seraing along with five other Metz loanees.
