LaminManneh who is contesting in the April National Assembly election for Sanimentereng constituency has described the President Barrow-led administration as the most corrupt governments the country has ever had.

He said despite the humble and low-key life style of President Barrow his administration embroiled in corrupt activities.

“Barrow government is the worst and I will call it from the frying pan to the fire. President Barrow government is one of the most corrupt governments in this country,” he claimed.

According to him, despite the corrupt attitude of exiled former President YahyaJammeh, he did better in fighting corruption than Barrow.

“[Yahya] Jammeh did better than Barrow in all sectors of life and developments. Jammeh far better than President Barrow (in the fight against corruption) I can attest to that even at the international level.

“(Yahya)Jammeh is the worst when you are allegedly involved in corruption, but Jammeh was corrupted, but in certain areas he had been doing well. He (Jammeh) dealt with corrupt people but he is corrupt either internally or externally but he is corrupt,” Manneh added.

“…. unfortunately, during the coalition, he has people surrounding him who are not there for the country. They are there for themselves not for the country, otherwise after the regime change the amount of billions of dollars we received from external aid and all corners around the world, The Gambia’s economy should not be as it is today, so that tells everybody that Barrow government is corrupt?

“And come to covid-19 that has rocked the four corners of the world. How many billions was given to Barrow [government] but it has been misused by the same authorities” he claimed.
