Police promise better welfare

Personnel of The Gambia Police Force have been promised a better welfare for their selfless service they continue to give to the country.

Momodou Sowe, Deputy Inspector General of police who continued his nationwide tour around the country to police stations has made a promised on his visit to Fatoto Police Station to member of the police officers.

“As part of his nationwide tour across Police installations, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Momodou Sowe this afternoon visited Fatoto Police Intervention Post, where he met men and women of the Intervention Unit. During the meeting, DIG Sowe told personnel that his mission was to interact and find out the concerns and constrains of personnel as well as to discuss the way forward,” Police communication unit reported.

According to the unit: “The police number 2 adduced that, the GPF under the able leadership of IGP Abdoulie Sanyang will do everything possible to augment and improve the welfare of personnel of the force most especially, members of the PIU, describing them as selfless and gallant citizens who put the country first. “

“DIG Sowe finally charged officers to do more in projecting good image for the force and urged all to remain professional in the execution of their duties.” Our Primary role is to oversee the continuation of society from one generation to another,” it added.

Meanwhile, the police communication unit continued that: “the deployment Commander at the Fatoto PIU, Chief Inspector Musa Player thanked the Police High Command on behalf of his men for the support and motivation, describing the DIG’s visit as timely and historic.”

He assured his command’s renewed commitment and readiness to serve their motherland to the best of their abilities without fear, favour or ill will. CIP Player finally used the occasion to thanked IGP Sanyang for the continuous support extended to his unit.
