Romanian topflight side CFR Cluj signed the Gambia U-20 striker Mustapha Jah.

According to reports, the 18-year-old signed a four-year contract with the Railwaymen.

According to Fallaboweh,”The former U-17 and current U-20 expressed his delight in moving to Cluj as he hopes to go all out.

“I am grateful to join a great club with a magnificent history like CRF Cluj. I am ready to help them achieve their goals, I am mentally and physically ready. I am hoping to cope so that we achieve our goals together”. Jah emphasized.

Jah is described as fearless and hailing from a footballing family with his mother being a CAF women football coordinator.

Jah’s mother Arret Njie is aware of her son’s expertise as she believes he can reach the highest point in his career.

“He is ready, going out to be a professional has always been his target despite being young. Therefore he has to just push harder” Arret stressed.

Fallaboweh further reported that Jah, who is managed by Italian agent Massimo Grillo, was scouted at school football when he represented Agi Sukai Senior Secondary School where he went on to win the best Sports Personality of the Year. He later joined the Gambia U-17 under Coach Abdoulie Bojang.

The giant striker won Bronze in the CAF U20 held in Mauritania last year for Gambia and Coach Matar Mboge was quick to praise him.

“For Mustapha, I first saw him playing for the U17 against Guinea Bissau and was impressed with him from there. For him, he’s a pure no.9, goalscorer and able to hold the ball up and use others around him. He is also very fearless and doesn’t shy away from 1 v 1 battles. He was able to come into the 20s and learn from some of his teammates, he is really set for a bright future. Cluj is a huge team in Romania, Champions League regulars so it shows his level of talent to go there and I’m sure he will do very well” Mboge added.
