Ex- mayoral contender rates Mayor Talib Bensouda’s performance in office at 2%

Mr. Mustapha Touray, former Mayoral contender, has rated the performance of mayor Ahmed Talib Bensouda and his administration at 2%, as he announced his intention to partake and run for upcoming mayoral elections under the ticket of the ruling National People’s Party.

According to him, Mayor Ahmed Talib Bensouda and his administration have done no meaningful developments for the council apart from the truck project for collecting garbage.

“For KMC, I will give them 2% out of 10% because they haven’t done anything for the people of the region (council). I gave them 2% because of the garbage project. To be frank, apart from the garbage project what else development did he (Talib) do?” he asked.

Meanwhile, “I think the mayoral will help him to get closer to people and know their problems because the president is on the top and National Assembly members make laws and you the Mayor should come closer to the people.”

Mr Touray called on Gambian electorates to vote for people who will contest under the ticket of the ruling National People’s Party at the April parliamentary elections, adding Barrow’s party is going out to people who will honestly support the agenda of the government for the interest of the country.

So, “I am urging Gambians to support President Adama Barrow as he started another five years in office. We are urging Gambians to vote wisely for people that will help President Barrow to accomplish his commitment in office. We will make sure we put in people who will support the agenda of the government and support the interest of The Gambia,” he promised.
