Unarguably, a good number of Gambian migrants have assented to European countries in the past decade, some of these migrants become prominent in their craft thus breaking the shackles of Intolerance and promoting diversity in many of these European countries that they settled.

One among many hidden but prominent Gambians excelling in his craft is Serrakunda born and Netherland based TV Star Sanneh whose viewers have now superseded over seventeen thousand (17, 000) followers in Eindhoven TV Stations across Holland. Until his surfacing in Netherland not much has been know about the whereabouts and journey of the Prominent Gambian show host, television anchored and Youtuber.

The story of this prominent Gambian migrant started at his birthplace of Serrakunda, a suburb of Banjul, capital of The Gambia, where he attended his elementary and basic school before proceeding to The Gambia Hotel School, now Gambia Tourism and Hospitality Institute (GTHI).

At The Gambia Hotel School Sanneh acquired certificate in Bar and Restaurant Management that eventually landed him to the hospitality industry where he left the legacy of punctuality, dedication to duties and distinguished customer services.

He has demonstrated these distinctive quality services in renown five and four star hotels in the Gambia among which are Kairaba Beach hotel, Senegambia Beach hotel, Sheraton hotel, Atlantic hotel, Ali Baba Restaurant and Duplex Nightclub.

“All these years we have been wondering where Sanneh has been living and just recently we come to know that he is in Netherland when we saw him featured in television programmes and on the internet. We are really proud of him for not letting this country down and doing amazing things in Europe,” said Omar Dibba a former colleague at Atlantic Hotel in Banjul.

He added: ” Sanneh has always been smart, creative, dedicated to his course but more importantly he likes expressing his feelings openly. I’m not surprise with the achievement of Sanneh because he has always been interested in accomplishing amazing things and ‘am happy that he is contributing positively to the development of Netherland.”

Dibba called on other Gambian migrants in Europe and elsewhere to be ambassadors of peace and tolerance, adding Sanneh’s achievements in Netherland within few years can served as yardsticks for many Gambian youths.

“I am just feeling so happy for seeing my former colleague doing well in Europe, bridging the diversity gaps and promoting a tolerant, cohesive and just society. Am just appealing to all Gambian migrants leaving in Europe to brace up and follow the footsteps of Sanneh,” said Muhammed Badgie, a former colleague at Sheraton Hotel.

He added: “When I saw Sanneh for the first time in Eindhoven TV, I was wondering how this was possible. However, I believe his success also depicts how hospitable and tolerant the people of Netherland are to other nationals seeking migration in their country.” Currently, Sanneh is engaging in multiple Talk-Show and television programs in Netherland as part of 25years anniversary of migrants and is expected to attract multiple of audiences including top echelons and celebrities in Netherland.

His talk-shows, television programs and YouTube Shows are always cantered on migration, integration and lifestyles.
