Don’t Judge the Book By the Cover is ready for launch

Modou Almusaf Sowe, Gambian writer and a scholar will launch his famous book entitled DON’T JUDGE The Book By THE COVER on the 7th January 2022 at Ebujan Theatre, Kanifing

The book is rated as advocacy tool to promote literacy and reading culture.

The launching of the book will be graced by different dignitaries within the countries and neighboring countries.

According to the award winning author, the book was written in 2006 as an advocacy tool to promote literacy and a reading culture amongst the youth, especially those from poor backgrounds.

The author, Modou Lamin AGE-ALMUSAF Sowe, is the founder of the Young Writers Association of The Gambia (YWAG), former Secretary General of the Writers Association of The Gambia, and the current Executive Director of the World Writers Association (WoWA).

Commenting on his inspiration to write the book he said “I sought to convey a fuller understanding of one African culture and in so doing, give voice to an underrepresented and exploited Gambian Subject”

The author however called on the youth of not only The Gambia but Africa as whole to believe that they can earn a living from writing.

As part of lined up activities of the launching of the book, he will equally unveil his award of Excellency For African Literature that he recently won in Atlanta Georgia USA at the Book and Leadership Summit organized by the International Association of African Authors and Scholars (IAAAS).
