Gambian Soldiers Studying Turkish language

A group of Gambian soldiers have started studying the Turkish language as part of the bilateral relationship between The Gambia and Turkey.

Commenting on the study which is currently underway at Fajara Barracks, Chief of Defence Staff, Yakuba Drammeh urged the trainees to make best use of the course.

“The trainees will be introduced into the very essence of the language and this denotes what subsequent actions will come afterward. Every one of the student has critical assignment which include how they perform, assimilate the instructions and of course, among other things to determine the subsequent course of action,” he said.

He therefore encouraged the trainees to give their best in terms of participation and strike appearance to set rules and regulations, the most important combinations point they should be able to transient what they have been taught.

Major Abdoulie Joof described the training as a series of developments undertaking by “our headquarters in other to continue maintaining the foothold into UN Peace Support Operations following the closure of the United Nations, African Union Mission in Dafur.”

“I equally recognize the central role that the headquarters has entrusted The Gambia arm forces training school to play in this endeavor ranging from the zoom advance advice revisit by the United Nations headquarters to the to the training of contingent 1 and also the hosting of this language training for members of contingent 2,” he said.

He commended the entire headquarters for the trust having in him as the commander of the training school and his able team of instructors.
