More Gambians comment on AstraZeneca vaccine

As covid-19 vaccination in progress, so the exercise continuing receiving different opinions from the citizenry on the AstraZeneca vaccine, while some people still urged the Ministry of Health to take good examination of the vaccine.

Despite most European and African countries reluctance about the vaccine thinking of the side effects such as blood clot, some cannot wait to get the jab.

Notwithstanding, Babucarr Jaiteh in his own opinion wants the vaccine to be further examine by the WHO to cast away peoples’ doubt about the  side effects “so that ordinary citizens can start taking it because our leaders (president, ministers and so on) were already vaccinated.”

Amadou jobe commended the government for its efforts and said he didn’t see any reason why people should not go for the vaccination.

“I will advise that both young and old ones to take the jab if they have the opportunity especially those with diabetes” he said, while he wishes that The Gambia have more and as well give to other countries in need of it.

Papa Jobe said the Ministry is doing everything possible to protect Gambians against further contacting the virus without forcing anybody “because vaccination is a voluntary exercise.”

Nanding Bob Suso encouraged everyone to go for Covid-19 vaccination to remain protected. “I will take the vaccine and my family will be vaccinated, too,” he expressed his readiness.

Babucarr Kamasu affirmed the existing of covid-19 while he lamented on the poor health facilities across the country.

Consequently, there are many Gambians that want to have more knowledge on the vaccine which among them is Jainaba Fadera.

She said “I have no idea about this vaccine and I didn’t trust this vaccine, let the Ministry of Health conduct more sensitization programs on it, possibly, in form of road show where people can ask questions and receive answers.”

She said if she is not wisely orientate about the vaccine she will not take.

Alagie Jarju and his family, according to him will not be vaccinated because “there is no covid-19 in the country.”
