Music Union of The Gambia Elected New Executive

Music Union Of The Gambia has recently elected new executive members to steers the affairs in the next three years at Ebujan Theatre.

During it National  congress also reviewed and adopt a draft constitution, which has been in the making through the then interim committee.

Elections of executive members were conducted through a three-man Independent Electoral Commission with the following persons voted into various positions as per the provisions in the newly adopted Constitution of MUSIGAM.

“We want to thank all the musicians and stakeholders for the trust and confidence in the process to this day. Congratulations to the new executive as work begin now.” -Gambia Musician Union-

Momodou M. Sarr (Pa Modou) as the president of the union, and having Babucarr Sambou as the Vice President.

Rapper/Activist, Ali Cham alias Killa Ace is elected the Secretary-General of the Gambian Musician Union, Lamin Sanneh as the Assistant Secretary, Muhammed Sumareh as PRO, Mbemba Saho as Program Manager, Martin Jeng as the Treasurer and Haddy Jadama as Assistant Treasurer.

The new executive members vows to work hard and move the union to stardom, they called for cooperation from all stakeholders in making their jobs easily for them in the process of building a strong foundation for future generations.

The Congress was attended by stakeholders in the industry. Sheriff Kanuteh and Pa Modou Sarr presented a report by the outgoing executive, which included on the programs and financial activities of the union.
