Visit of New Israeli Deputy Chief of Mission To Gambia

The new Israeli Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr. Waleed Gadban, was on 16th and 17th paid official visit to The Gambia.

During his visit to The Gambia he had series of meetings as he had the chance to meet Gambian political leaders, young entrepreneurs, students and others civilians.

Mr Waleed Gadban used the trip’s great opportunity to visit Alfu Sarr’s farm, at Ndofan in the northern region of Gambia. Alfu Sarr’s Farm is one of the farmers who got the benefits of Mashav funds for entrepreneurship.

The funding will facilitate the harvest of new varieties of plants such as cucumbers, green peppers, bananas in addition to helping the sheepfolds. In Ndofan, an area located in the northern bank of The Gambian River.

Meanwhile the deputy chief of mission used the opportunity to inaugurate the farming project along with the MASHAV’s donation; Israel supplied the region with Jobs, Access to clean Water and Food Autonomies.

The visit was sealed with many locals’ gathered to pray for the prosperity of the project.

Also during this visit, Mr. Gadban met with the Ministers of Justice, Higher Education, Research Science and Technology, and the Mayor of Banjul.

However, this was one of many activities of The Israeli Embassy in Dakar towards Gambia since July 2020. Such as the symbolic donation in cash made to the population of Mansakonko, It’s given as a donation due to COVID-19 pandemic crisis. The Chairman of Mansakonko Council Mr. Landing B. SANNEH and his Chief Executive  Officer Mr. Paa Saith CEESAY were grateful and honored to receive The Israeli Embassy, and to receive the food supplies to 400 families in Gambia.
