Stop Step Pharmacy, Medicare Clinic Donates Over D6m Medical Items To MOH

Stop Step Pharmacy and its sister company Medicare Clinic Tuesday donated medical items worth over D6M (Six Million Dalasi) to the Ministry of Health in a bid to fight against the deadly CORONAVIRUS pandemic.

Speaking at the presentation, ceremony held at Kotu Central Medical Store, the General Manager Stop Step Pharmacy, Mr. Mahawa Njie the pharmacy deemed it necessary to play its own part, by contributing some medical Products to join the crusade to fight against the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

He described the pandemic as a very serious disease that has caused a lot of havoc not only in The Gambia but all over the world. Considering the spread of this pandemic, he said, Government alone cannot do it all as fighting it requires all hands on deck.

He said Stop Step Pharmacy and Medicare Clinic put resources together and provided the consignment of the medical products worth over six million dalasi to the Ministry of Health, as it is the management believes that the donation will go a long way in helping the people of the Gambia.

The General Manager therefore called on other individuals, companies to emulate Stop Step Pharmacy and Medicare Clinic for this kind of gesture which is all gear toward the fight against COVID-19.

The donated items include sanitizers, hand gloves, and other medical items.

Mr. Smart Ihekireh, Administrator Medicare Clinic representing the founder Stop Step Pharmacy said they are happy to join the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.

He expressed their willingness to further collaborate with the Ministry of Health to ease the difficulties that the Gambians are facing.

Musa Saine, Logistic Officer at Ministry of Health, assured that the materials will be put into good use.

The Acting Director of Health Services, Musa Bittaye thanked the donor and called on other institutions to emulate Stop Step Pharmacy and Medicare Clinic.
