IMEI Chief Adviser Visits Gambia

Chief Adviser of International Mind Education Institute (IMEI) in Korea Saturday arrived in The Gambia for working days visit.

The IMEI boss, Dr Kim Ki Sung who is visiting the country for the first time is to work on mind training to change the mindset of people especially the youths and inmates in prison.

IMEI is an organization that specializes in character and mind education, proper mindset for a happy life of humanities, in particular the inmates.

According to Dr Kim IMEI already started a program for the prison service and police officers and they have signed memorandum of understanding with fifty countries that are currently on the mind training.

HeIn believes that Gambians need the mind education especially the inmates in prison though “not only the inmate will benefit, but the entire nation.”

Going about it, he said they will first like to open a mind education program in the prison service and have meeting with the necessary authorities and through that mind education will be able to spread in all the corners of The Gambia.

However, the IMEI boss stated that every year South Korea organizes a forum for prison service and police departments. He noted that the DG of Kenya and Uganda attend the forum and they gave their report on the reduction of criminal rate since the start of mind education.

Kim further said, in many places, especially prison, after they received their mind training, the percentage of criminals that go back to prison is minimize.

He affirmed that among other reasons that helped South Korea to develop very fast is their mind education system. Therefore, if people are able to change their mindset here they can do such great things.
