Barrow’s Adviser Accuses UDP Leading 3 Years Jotna

Saihou Mballow, President Adama Barrow’s Deputy Youth Adviser has accused the United Democratic Party (UDP) of leading three years Jotna campaign for Barrow to step down.

“There is no one behind the so-called three years Jotna campaign besides Ousainou Darboe. Darboe and his supporters are behind the three years Jotna,” he told a political rally in Jarra Bureng village of Lower River Region.

Mballow, who was living in exile in the United States for over two decades, recently returned home to joint President Barrow’s government.

“Ousainou Darboe doesn’t have Gambia’s interest at heart. He only cares about himself and not the country. His political life symbolizes greed, selfishness, and divisiveness. There is no one behind the so-called three years Jotna campaign besides Ousainou Darboe. Darboe and his supporters are behind the three years Jotna,” Mballow alleged.

However, in a recent political rally United Democratic Party, (UDP) leader Ousainou Darboe stressed that  as a party  the UDP is not advocating for President Adama Barrow to leave office after three years.

Darboe, a former Vice President stressed that any UDP supporter, who joins any group to advocate for three years ‘Jotna’ he or she does not represent the party.

“If we decide to make our position on the matter, we will communicate it to The Gambian people. We are not part of any group calling for the removal of the present government,” he pointed out.
