POLICE IGP CALLS ON PUBLIC SUPPORT IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CRIMES

The Inspector General of the Gambia Police Force Alh. Mamour Jobe has appealed to The Gambian public to help in the fight against crimes in the country by sharing proffer relevant information with the law enforcement agencies.

IGP Jobe made this appeal on Sunday October 21, 2018 while Gambia Police Force hoists The Gambia National flag and the police colors at the new premises of the Anti-Crime Unit (ACU) at Bijilo.

The Police IGP urges the general public to fully partake in the fight against crimes, by volunteering useful information to the police, noting that this will go a long way in easing the job of the law enforcement officers as well as for the overall security of the country.

According to him, Gambia Police Force have taken measures including the establishment of Anti-Crime Unit at Yundum some 25km away from Banjul in a bit to reinforce the existing efforts of the force personnel’s in keeping every Gambian and residents in Gambia safe and secured.

Assistant Inspector General of Police Landing Bojang revealed that The Gambia police force will leave no stone unturned in the fight against crimes and banditry in the country.

AIG Bojang who is also the Police head of operations said constant patrols and collaboration with the public was the secret of successes registered by the ACU, while urging his men to take up their duties with utmost dedication and sense of belonging, so as to achieve the IGP’s vision of safety and security for all.

Chief Superintendent Gorgi .L. Mboob who is mandated to weed out crimes in the country said his men will leave up to expectations in the fight to tackle crimes and Banditry in the country.
