Modou MC Cham Junior National Youth Mobiliser at the Gambia Democratic Congress, GDC, has stressed the need to impeach President Barrow, saying its high time that president Barrow be impeached, Gambians have lost confidence in this government.
This statement was relayed to this medium through a press release and read as follows; “The press release from State House is fake .The State House press release which was issued yesterday regarding the corruption allegations between President Adama Barrow and some National Assembly Members is fake and is a cover up to their dirty games and corrupt act,” he alleged.
According to him, the UDP form majority in the National Assembly and that revelation are already made by a UDP NAM for Serekunda, Hon. Madi Ceesay, who confirmed receipt of the said amount of D10, 000 from Barrow.
Other members such as Honorable Bakary Njie NAM for Bundung have also confirmed receiving phone calls inviting him to the State House and collect money, which is clearly very embarrassing as the State House is taking us as fools by giving out such a scanty press release, Cham stated in the press statement.
For him, such is totally unacceptable and it has even implicated them (state house) more, saying it is high time for Barrow to be impeached, as Gambians have lost confidence in his government.
