The Central River Region Football Association (CRRFA) has fined two clubs and ordered a replay behind closed doors following the abandonment of a Third Division League match between Dandemayo United and Stone Circle FC, the association said.
The match, played on 10 May 2026, was stopped due to security concerns after tensions reportedly escalated during the fixture, forcing officials to halt play in the interest of safety for players, officials and supporters.
Following consultations with match officials and a review by the competition department, the CRRFA ruled that the match will be replayed on 13 May 2026 at the same venue, but without spectators.
Both Dandemayo United and Stone Circle FC were each fined D10,000, which must be paid before the rescheduled fixture.
The association warned that failure to comply with the directives could lead to further disciplinary measures.
The CRRFA said the decision is aimed at maintaining discipline, order and security in regional football competitions.
