The Serekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) has officially signed a D450,000 sponsorship agreement with Yonna Group for the 2025 Nawettan Knockout Tournament.
In a statement, SESDO hailed the partnership as a major boost to grassroots sports, noting that Yonna Group’s financial and institutional support will significantly contribute to the successful organisation of this year’s tournament.
“This sponsorship demonstrates Yonna Group’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, financial inclusion, and community engagement in Serrekunda East,” SESDO said.
The sports body further commended Yonna Group for its strong corporate social responsibility, calling on the entire Serrekunda East community to support and appreciate the company for its investment in sports and youth development.
The Nawettan tournament remains one of the most anticipated community football events in the country, offering a platform for young talents to shine and local teams to compete at a high level.
With Yonna Group’s support, SESDO is optimistic about delivering a well-organised and impactful tournament this season.
