The Mobile Traffic Unit, in collaboration with the Transport Department of the University of The Gambia (UTG), held a training session on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the Mobile Traffic Headquarters in Kanifing.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Commissioner of Mobile Traffic, DCP Buba S.F. Bah, welcomed the facilitator, Mr. Sulayman Jammeh, Head of the Transport Department at UTG, and thanked the University for what he described as a timely and important initiative.
The training covered road safety, with a focus on accident prevention, appropriate response during and after crashes, and effective traffic management.
The interactive session strengthened the capacity of participating officers, equipping them with essential knowledge to enhance road safety and traffic control.
The Gambia Police Force reaffirmed its commitment to continuous professional development as part of efforts to improve service delivery and ensure safer roads for all.
