Kaizer Chiefs have set their sights on Gambian winger Gibril Sillah, currently a free agent after an impressive season with Azam FC in Tanzania.
Sillah, a 26-year-old left-footed attacker born in Barra, The Gambia, stands at 1.84m and brings much-needed versatility to the flanks. According to FotMob, he netted 11 goals in the Tanzanian Premier League, showcasing his attacking prowess.
“Chiefs want to bring in this winger, Sillah, because they don’t have a left footed winger that can score goals, especially one that can play on either wing.”
With his ability to operate on both flanks, Sillah would fill a critical gap in the Amakhosi’s setup, a left-footed wide player who can find the back of the net.
The Sillah pursuit follows hot on the heels of Siphesihle Ndlovu’s confirmed signing. The midfielder joins Kaizer Chiefs from SuperSport United, who recently sold their Betway Premiership status to Siwelele FC, ending their top-flight chapter.
Ndlovu has already passed his medical and signed a three-year deal with the Glamour Boys.
As first reported on 21 June by The South African, Chiefs finalised the deal after both clubs agreed on a transfer fee. The 28-year-old midfielder will link up with his new teammates shortly, ahead of their pre-season tour to the Netherlands.
