By Fatoumatta JattaAbdou Aziz Tamba and Modou Lamin Singhateh on Thursday appeared before Magistrate Touray at Kanifing Magistrates’ Court on charges of stealing.
According to the charge sheet, Tamba and Singhatehon March this year at Dippakunda, stole a laptop mark think pad valued at sixteen thousand Dalasis(D16,000.00), a 60D Canon valued at eighteen thousand Dalasis (D18,000.00) and a cash amounting to four thousand Dalasis (D4000.00) being the property of Malick Bah .
Meanwhile, the first accused person, Abdou Aziz Tamba pleaded not guilty stating that he knew nothing about the allegation.
The second accused, ModouLamin Singhateh also pleaded ‘not guilty’ to the charge sheet when it was read out for them.
However, Prosecutor M Keita pointed out that, they will seek for an adjournment and also not objecting to granting of bail for the accused persons.Consequently, Magistrate Touray granted Tamba and Singhateh a bail to the tune of D50, 000 each and withone Gambian surety who should produce valid ID cards.
The matter was accordingly adjourned to Thursday 28th March at 12:30pm.
