Gambia’s High Commission Thumbs Up Jawara for Success of Gambia Day Forum

The Gambia’s High Commission in Senegal is the latest to recognize the admirable contribution of Abubakary Jawarato the success of the recent Gambia Day Forum held in the Senegalese capital, Dakar.

The CEO of GACH Global continues to be showered with praises and commendations from lots of quarters for his contribution of the first order to the success of the forum that gathered big names in Senegambia’s business landscapeat Dakar’s Radisson Blu Hotel to explore possibilities of business development and networking.

The Gambia Day Forum was organized by the trade promotion agencies of Senegal and The Gambia. GIEPA and APIX capitalized on the Gambia Day celebration to host the successful business forum. 

The Gambia Day celebration is the brainchild of the Gambia’s High Commission in Dakar and the idea is to provide a platform for showcasing what The Gambia can offer in culture as well as the promotion of the Senegambia relations. 

The Gambia’s High Commission said Abubakary Jawara’scontribution to the event is commendable and the commission has sent the millionaire entrepreneur a letter to express the commission’s appreciation to him.

“On behalf of the entire staff of the Gambia High Commission in Dakar, Senegal, and on my own behalf, I have the honour to express our heartfelt appreciation to Abubakary Jawara for his valuable contribution towards the 1st Gambia – Senegal Economic, Trade, and Investment Forum and Exhibition Fair, as well as the Cultural Gala Dinner, held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Dakar, Senegal,” the letter read.

The commission said the forum was geared towards strengthening the economic and trade cooperation between The Gambia and Senegal and to provide an opportunity to present both countries as ideal trade and investment destinations to the Senegalese and Gambian companies. It also acknowledged that the event further promotes people-to-people relations as well as consolidates the long-standing bilateral ties between Banjul and Dakar. 

“It is in the light of this that the High Commission is fully committed to strengthening the partnership between The Gambia High Commission in Dakar and GACH Global in enhancing economic, trade, investment, and cultural cooperation between The Gambia and Senegal. We look forward to working closely with your esteemed institution and we hope that The Gambia – Senegal Economic, Trade and Investment Forum and Exhibition Fair, as well as the Cultural Gala Dinner, will be an annual event, organized every year around the end of October, so as to bring about all-round development for the benefit of our two peoples,” the letter of appreciation stated.

The Gambia Day provided Gambian and Senegalese public and private economic operators an opportunity to explore prospects in both countries as well as benefit from the two governments’ goodwill to smash bureaucracies in registering or match-making businesses in the two countries.

Meanwhile, the GACH CEO recently bankrolled a basketball tourney through his Jaeja natural spring water company. The winners of the championship smiled away home with D15,000. Jawara graced the finals with his presence and handed over a scintillating and tantalizing trophy to the winners.
