Two Accused pleads not guilty in Alleged Robbery

Two Accused Abou Sissoho and Njagga Badjie have pleaded not guilty to two counts of the offense charged to them before the Kanifing High Court Presided over by Justice Isatou Janneh on Wednesday when their case was called. 

After the Interpreter’s interpretation while taking their pleas separately Abou Sissoho the first accused pleaded not guilty to both counts while 

the second accused, Njagga Badjie also pleaded not guilty to both counts.

The court recorded the plea of not guilty and the state sought an adjournment to call the first witness which was not objected to by the defense counsel. 

Meanwhile, the statement of the offense of Abou Sissoho, Njagga Badjie, and another person at large are both charged with two counts. Count one conspiracy and count two robbery.

According to particulars of offense Abou Sissoho, Njagga Badjie and another person at large on or about the 10th day of May 2022 at Bakoteh Banjul garage and diverse places allegedly conspired amongst themselves to rob Musa Sey and physically assaulted him and took his Samsung J4 mobile phone and nine hundred dalasi (D900).

Justice Isatou Janneh later adjourned the matter to the 3rd of May 2023 at 1 am.
