Hon. Halifa Sallah, Secretary General and party leader of the People’s Democratic Organization for Independence and Socialism (PDOIS) has said that all PDOIS candidates contesting the Local Government election have been prepared to educate the nation on a transformative agenda to eradicate poverty, ignorance, and corruption.
He made the statement on Wednesday at the Independent Electoral Commission regional in Kanifing where six candidates of his party filed their nominations to the IEC for the April Local Government election.
The PDOIS candidates who submitted their nomination paper to the IEC are namely; Karim Darboe for Bartez Ward, Alhagie Abubacarr Sillah Bundung six junction ward, Mbaye Bittaye London corner Ward, Samba Touray Bundung Borehole Bantaba Ward, Abdou Aziz Sohna Dippa Kunda ward and Peter Mendy Kololi Ward.
Abdou Aziz Sohna, PDOIS candidate for Dippa Kunda ward said it will create community liberty where the people will be heard and also will be a center for transformation for changing the mindset. He said the ideology of the community is the first point of political concern and developmental change, and you cannot change by transforming the mind and the heart
