Kebba .T. Tumanding Sanneh, National Assembly Representative for Foni Jarrol Constituency alleged the government taking away hospital ambulances which results to nurse not sleeping at the hospital during the night shift.

Speaking to The voice, Hon Sanneh said: “The hospital was inaugurated in the last few months before the end of the era of former President Yahya Jammeh in 2016, but the government of President Adama Barrow deliberately taken away their Hospital Ambulance.  I am thoroughly following that matter, I`m told by the officials that the Ambulance has problem and they are to replace it with a new one. Let us take politics out of this issue. The government is politicising the issue because they just take it as a place constructed by Jammeh and forget about it and concentrated on the one in Bwiam.”

He recalled that during his familiarisation tour, he visited the Kagila hospital, but he was amazed that the hospital has no medicines only two nurses were available with no emergency.

However, he added, the hospital has no proper route to access the hospital  unless the drivers go all the way to Sintet health centre before they reach the hospital.

NAM Sanneh called on the government to reconsider the Kalagi hospital by providing them with good Doctors and nurses that will ease the health consequences on the people of Foni Jarrol and the satellite villages. “They should not ignore the place because is the home of former president Jammeh. They should bring improvement in the Gambia`s heath sector,” he said.
