Officer Jatta testifies that accused bite him during arrest

Sargent Omar Jatta, a police officer attached at the Brikama Police Station standing as PW1 before the Brikama Magistrate’s Court presided over by Magistrate Ebou Sowe said an accused, Ebrima Jobe, was charged for assault biting him when he was arresting him.

The PW1, Sergeant Omar Jatta told the court that the accused fought him and bite him on his left hand which resulted in injuries but he was treated at the Brikama Health Center.

PW1 narrated that on the 21st of September 2022 the accused was arrested at the opposite FMB Radio Station known as Brikama Community Radio Station for assaulting two police officers namely, Matarr Badjie and Omar Jatta who were executing their duties.

The prosecuting officer inspector Kemo Y. Manneh tendered a medical certificate of PW1 as an exhibit and was admitted by the Magistrate.

At this junction, Magistrate Sowe adjourned the case to the 20th of December 2022 .
