The majority of the women’s market vendors continue to weep over the continuous price hike of basic commodities in the country, and the Government is still silent on the issue and yet find no solution to address the situation.

In an exclusive interview with The Voice, Mariama Sanneh a fish vendor at Bakoteh market explained how the hike in the price of commodities continues to affect their daily survival.

She appealed to the authorities to put measures in place that will serve as a mechanism to address the situation which is affecting many households in the country.

Other speakers including Isatou Sanyang made similar appeals and hope the uncontrollable skyrocketing of basic commodities will soon be addressed.
