Narcotic Officer Testified in Drug Case

Lamin Sanneh a narcotic Officer attached to the Siffoe Police Station has testified in a drug case involving Abdou Ceesay, when the case resumed at the Brusubi Magistrates’ Court presided over by Principal Magistrate Muhammed Krubally, on Tuesday, 20th September 2022.

Giving his testimony, the PW2, NCO3 Lamin Sanneh told the court that the accused, Abdou Ceesay, the weighing Officer, and Lamin Sanneh who is PW2 in this case all signed the weighing Certificate of the suspected cannabis.

The accused, Abdou Ceesay acknowledged the information on the weighing Certificate but he denied the description of the bags of the suspected cannabis. He went on to accuse PW2 NCO3 Lamin Sanneh of taking D11,000.00 from his mother before releasing his vehicle that was caught with the suspected drug. “I did not take the alleged money and the said vehicle was entrusted to your mother,” PW2, NCO3 Lamin Sanneh said.

However, the Prosecuting Officer Omar J.Sowe appealed to the court to admit and mark the suspected cannabis and the weighing certificate of the suspected drug of the accused, Abdou Ceesay as exhibits.

The presiding Magistrate Muhammed Krubally admitted the suspected cannabis as exhibit C and the weighing certificate of the accused, Abdou Ceesay as exhibit D. While he later adjourned the case to the 11th November 2022 for the hearing of PW3,”  Magistrate Muhammed Krubally ordered.
