LSC holds Award Giving Ceremony, Spoken Word Performance

As Covid-19 pandemic is slowly getting under control, the Literary Success Club (LSC), Wednesday, 30th March 2022 held its Award Giving Ceremony and Open Spoken Word Performance virtually at the National Centre for Arts and Culture, Banjul.

The Award Giving Ceremony and Open Spoken Word Performance was held to honour the LSC’s student participants in an online literary competition meant for only school going students in the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the hard times caused by the pandemic, the Literary Success Club organised series of online literary trainings and competitions for people, particularly students across the country.

As one of the leading literary organizations in The Gambia, the LSC has always proved its consistency in the realization of its objectives without subdue to the devastating effects of the monster covid-19 pandemic which in one way or the other has affected the life and livelihood of the people across the globe.

Speakers at the online event included Mr Hassoum Ceesay, Director General of National Centre for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Honorable Momodou Sabally AKA Gambia Pen, Basiru Jallow Secretary General of LSC.

This program as chaired by Fatoumata N Cham, vice president of LSC saw the participated Poets displayed their incredible abilities to put words into lines, rhythms into symphony to entertain the audience.

Basiru Jallow, secretary-general of the Literary Success Club thanked their supporters especially which include Hassoum Ceesay DG NCAC, Bakary Bah – UK, Alagie Mbye of GRTS among lots.
