Bombada records biggest win, PSV Wellingara loss again in GFF 2nd tier league

Bombada FC recorded the biggest win of the season, while PSV Wellingara lost again in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League Week-15 fixtures played over the weekend.

Bombada recorded the biggest win of the season after defeating the host Jarra West 7-1 in a game played at the Soma Mini-Stadium on Thursday.

The Brikama-based team, Bombada, now collected their sixth victory of the season, while Jarra West suffered their eighth defeat of the league.

Bombada FC overall collected six wins, three draws and six defeats after 15 matches, while the Jarrankers, Jarra West registered five wins, two draws and eight defeats after 15 encounters.

The win moved Bombada to 8th position with 21 points, while Jarra West occupied 12th position with 17 points.

In the other encounter played on Thursday, Kanifing East held Tallinding United to a goalless draw played at the Independence Stadium.

Tallinding United have now been forced to sixth draw of the season, while Kanfing East conceded their eighth draw of the season.

Tallinding United overall collected seven wins, six draws and two defeats after 15 games, while Kanifing East recorded four wins, eight draws and three defeats after 15 encounters.

The result occupied Tallinding United at 2nd position with 27 points, leveling with B.K. Milan, while Kanifing East sit 10th position with 20 points.

Jam City defeated Red Hawks FC 1-0 in a fight for survival encounter played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yumdum on Thursday.

The Jambanjelly-based team, Jam City now collected their fourth win of the league, while Red Hawks FC suffered their ninth loss of the season.

Jam City overall collected four wins, two draws and ten defeats after 16 games, while Red Hawks FC registered three wins, three draws and nine defeats after 15 matches

The win still maintained Jam City at the relegation zone in 16th position with 14 points, two points ahead of the Red Hawks FC who sit at the rock-bottom-(18th)-position with 12 points, leveling with Latrikunda United.

Elsewhere, Waterside FC beat PSV Wellingara 2-0 in a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum on Friday.

The Banjul-based team, Waterside FC collected their fourth win of the league season, while the Wellingara-based team, PSV, conceded their fifth defeat of the season.

Waterside overall registered four wins, four draws and eight defeats after 16 matches, while PSV Wellingara recorded eight wins, two draws and five defeats after 15 games.

The result moved Waterside FC to 14th position with 16 points, leveling with Young Africans and Wagadu, while PSV Wellingara sit 6th position with 26 points, leveling with Greater Tomorrow and Immigration respectively.

In the other encounter played on Friday, Dibba Oil defeated Medical 3-0 in the newly promoted affairs played at the Soma Mini-Stadium.

The North Bank Region-based team, Dibba Oil now recorded their fifth victory of the season, while Central River Region-based team Medical FC suffered their sixth defeat of the league.

Dibba Oil overall collected five wins, four draws and six defeats after 15 games, while Medical registered six wins, three draws and six defeats after 15 matches.

Dibba Oil now moved to 11th position with 19 points, two points behind Medical FC who occupied 9th position with 21 points.
