Lawyer Ousainou Darboe, leader of United Democratic Party (UDP) has called on his supporters to turnout in mass and vote in the 9th April 2022, parliamentary election.

Lawyer Darboe made these revelation in a special audio meant to reach out UDP supporters ahead of the National Assembly elections, adding that this will avert the fears of having a docile and a rubber-stamp parliament.

Lawyer Ousainou Darboe, whose party is yet to congratulate President Adama Barrow on allegations of electoral fraud, stuffing of voter’s registration list with foreigners and minors, called on all UDP to turn in mass and vote for candidates of his party.

“I want to remind you that on Saturday 9th April, we will all go to the polls to elect our National Assembly members. They will be our ears and eyes, our hands and feet, we will be speaking through them and through them we will deal with government and other institutions,” UDP leader highlighted.

He added: “Through our representatives, we the voters can hold our government accountable. I therefore want to seize this opportunity to ask you members and supporters of United Democratic Party to go out in your large numbers to the polls and vote for our sponsored candidates.”

According to him, supporters of the UDP must go to the polls and vote massively for their candidates, adding that their participation will avert a docile and rubber-stamp National Assembly.
