Soninkara group mourns Gambians dead in Bronx fire

Soninkara Group has mourned Gambians who died in tragic Bronx, New York, fire incident which claimed more a dozen lives of Gambians and left many other people critically injured.

“The CEO Of Soninkara Group hereby extends our condolences to families whose love ones were involved in the fire outbreak of the Bronx, New York City.  We have learnt that most of the casualties in the incident are Gambians, Soninkes we pray to God the Almighty to grant all the departed souls Janna. It’s a tragic moment for us all. Our thoughts and prayers, we share every bit of this unbearable tragedy,” the group said in a statement.

However, a new report has shown that 15 Gambians have been so far confirmed death in Bronx fire incident and left many other people critically injured.

“Reports confirmed death of 15 Gambians believed to have been involved in one of Bronx’s deadliest fire disasters in 30-years. The incident claimed at least 19 innocent lives in total and injured 63. Among them were the Drammeh’s family

“A 50-year-old woman by the name Fatoumata Drammeh lost her life along with her three children – her son Muhammed Drammeh aged 12, and his two sisters of the same parents Fatoumala Drammeh, 19 and Aisha Drammeh 21, reportedly died during this terrible fire disaster, causing a devastating blow to the Gambian community in the Bronx. A thorough investigation into the cause of this tragic fire disaster is being carried out by concerned authorities,” it said.

“My condolences to the bereaved families and loved ones that affected by this tragedy. I pray for speedy recovery for those who sustained injuries during the outbreak,” it added.
