Dibba Oil wins, Immigration suffers another setback in GFF 2 Division League

Newly promoted side, Dibba Oil has continued with their impressive form in their debut season while Immigration FC suffered another setback in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) second division league week-6 fixtures played on Tuesday.

Debutant side Dibba Oil continued their fine form of the season after defeating Latrikunda United 3-1 in a game played at the Soma mini-stadium on Tuesday.

Dibba Oil has now collected three wins, two draws and one defeat after six games, while Latrikunda United continue their struggles after suffering five defeats, one win after six games.

Dibba Oil now moved to fourth position with 11 points, while Latrikunda United dropped to 17th position with 3 points after six games.

Elsewhere, Immigration FC suffered another setback following a 1-1 draw against debutant side Kanifing East in a game played at the Late Ousman Saho football field in Old Yundum.

The Immigration side who started the league very impressively has now been forced to their first draw of the season following their last game defeat, while the newly promoted side Kanifing East continues with their slow start in their debut second tier league season.

The Eastern Boys, Kanifing East now collected their third draw of the season with one win and two defeats, while Immigration FC now suffered their first draw of the season with four wins and one defeat.

Kanifing East sit 13th position with 6 points, while Immigration still maintain 2nd position with 13 points after playing a game more.

Waterside FC defeated Red Hawks FC 1-0 in a game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

The debutant side Waterside FC has now collected their second win of the season while Red Hawks FC continues their slow start of the season after conceding their fourth defeats.

The newly promoted side Waterside FC earned one draw and three defeats, while Red Hawks FC collected one win and one draw after six games.

The victory moved Waterside FC to 11th position with 7 points, while Red Hawks dropped to 15th position with 4 points.

Meanwhile, at the time of going to press yesterday, Wednesday, three other games were being play across three different venues in the week-6 fixture of the 2nd division league.

Tallinding United were playing against Gunjur United at the Independence Stadium in Bakau; Bombada FC were taking on Medical FC at the Late Ousman Saho football in Old Yundum while B4U Kiang West were also battling it out with Wagadu at the Soma mini-stadium.
