Witness Testifies on Felony and Robbery case

Gibril Camara, a witness at the ongoing felony and robbery case at the Kanifing High Court presided over by Justice Alexander Osie Tutu on Monday testified in the case which involved Ebrima Yaffa, Sheriff Jatta and Alagie Bah

The witness, Gibril Camara in his testimony said when they went to Manjai Police Station their statement was taken and they were assigned with some task force members to go and search for the accuse persons who escaped.

He said he went with the task force to search for the accused persons, he said on their way going the task force received a call that they should come back and that was the time the task force told them to go ahead with the searching.

He explained that they went up to a junction where they saw the accused people in a shop and that he was able to recognized only one person in the group that’s Papa.

He said when the suspects saw them coming, they ran away and went to the Kotu garage and hide that was the time they also alighted from the vehicle and entered in to the garage and saw one accused person jumping over the fence while the rest hid in the garage. He said he didn’t see the face of the accused that jumped over the fence.

According to him that was the time they went to the base of the accused people to conduct an investigation and that during their investigation they didn’t see anyone there.

Moreover, he said they went back to the garage to look for the accused people again, at the garage, this time, he said they divided themselves into two groups. He said the group he belonged to was at the right-hand side of the garage and they were able to found Ebrima Yaffa who was hidden behind the garage.

At this juncture, the case was adjourned to the 2nd February 2022 at 12:30 PM for continuation of hearing.

According to their particulars of offense Ebrima Yaffa, Sheriff Jatta and Alagie Bah did on the 13th November, 2020 at Manjai Kunda conspired among themselves to commit felony.

According to the particulars of offense for count two Ebrima Yaffa, Sheriff Jatta and Alagie Bah on the same day and the same place attacked Gibril Camara with a knife and robbed him by taking his mobile phone mark Samsung Galaxy J2.
