Barrow refers critics as jealous people

By Adama Makasuba

President Adama Barrow has reached out to his critics as he identified them to be jealous people who do not care about developing the country, but rather care about their selfish interests.

Mr Barrow was speaking at the inauguration of the China’s multi-million dalasis aid project – bridges and roads in the Upper River Region where thousands of Gambians including government officials and Chinese diplomats in the country graced the ceremony in Basse.

Meanwhile, he told the gathering that Gambians will see his proper developments after the December presidential election, saying what the nation is seeing now are some of his minor developments.

“We are not here for a child play but work. These developments are just a tip of the iceberg, but actual work will start when Gambians get to the polls on December 4th and voted for the NPP, that was when you will see the real work. I am saying this because this is a coalition government some wants me to work and some do not. Those who do not want me to work are the ones who wanted to unseat me,” he claimed.

“This projects that we are inaugurating today is a commendation worth to be celebrated by every   Gambians.  It has never happened in the history of this country. You  will see Barrow’s development trajectory (after election) because it will be a government of people with the same vision and agenda,”

“I am so happy today that anything you asked from me I will give it to you. The people will feel this development for the next century. Gambians have now believed that whatever I have promised will be fulfilled. Even the blind can bear a witness to this development. So, if someone whose vision is intact wanted to deny this thinking that this project should not have come to Basse. What type of people are these?” he asked.
