The leader of People Alliance Party (PAP) has claimed that he know many political parties that are funded by business tycoons to run for presidency in the upcoming December election.

Speaking to The Voice exclusively, Ebrima Manneh disclosed that there are many political parties which are getting support from businesspersons on the ground. He said they wouldn’t show up saying those businessperson are not investing without profit at the end of the day.

“I know that if a businessman give you hundred dalasi, believe me, such businessman know that he will take thousand dalasi from you. You (referring to presidential candidates) are yet to become a president and businesspersons giving you millions of dalasi do you think it makes sense.”

However, he said his party comes to rescue the country from getting deep into abject poverty, as he wants Gambians to unite and put away their differences.

He added: “my party is here to rescue the Gambia from the hardship it is facing and make it incomparable with most African countries, People`s Alliance Party will stand for all upcoming elections to make sure the party is inclusive in nation building.”

“I have sat with Barrow but what I told him was I don’t need anything from you, but I want him to do things that will remain as his legacy even when he left power. I called on him to be mindful of people because everyone will want to tell him words.
