Man in court for causing bodily harm

Muhammed Baldeh has pleaded not guilty of the offence of assault pressed again him when he appeared at the Magistrate Kanifing Court on Tuesday.

The accused person, Muhammed Balded, who appeared before Magistrate Colley of the Kanifing Magistrate Court on Tuesday, according to particulars of his offence, did on 22nd day of March 2021 in Serrekunda in the Kanifing Municipality of the Republic of The Gambia assaulted one Abdourahim Saidy by hitting him with a stick, belt on his head and eye (therefore) causing him actual bodily harm (and) thereby committed an offence.

Taking his plea before the presiding Magistrate, he pleaded not guilty of the offence.

The accused person was given a bail in sum of D10,000 with two Gambian sureties who must present their ID Card to the police station while the accused person must report at the police station twice a week, while the case was adjourned to 19th May 2021.
