Honorable Omar Ceesay, a member of National Assembly has dismissed remarks of Minister of Tourism and Culture, Honorable Hamat NK Bah, which he said President Adama Barrow government brought development projects like road to his constituency, Niamina East.

This claims he (Honorable Ceesay) called ‘false claims.’

Honorable Omar Ceesay who was speaking at a press conference held at the Baobab Holiday Resort, Bijilo said the organised press conference was meant for clarification to “the allegations made by (Honorable) Hamat Bah, which is false because President Barrow government did not bring any development that is allocated for Niamina East. The claim is totally false and Barrow Government never thinks of assisting Niamina people,” he said.

He went on that “no fund was allocated for Niamina East people and also the project about the supplementary appropriation bill, the roads that were mentioned is Hakalang, Saloum and Nianija Road Projects, Niamina East was not mentioned there.”

He said he will not reject any development to his constituency, as they have been yearning for infrastructural development for over 22 years.

He said: “I’m not elected to betray my people if that will happen then it would be another MP and any development that will come for Niamina east and the whole country he will stand firmly to support it. I believed that those developments are financed with the countries cash taxes are paid to solve our problems.”

Honorable Ceesay explained that the way President Adama Barrow was elected is the same way that Niamina east people voted him to be their National Assembly member and “my aim is to be the flag bearer. Adama Barow and his cabinet members to render development to every hook and corner of the country either they are supporting them or not, will continue to fight for the people of Niamina east to have clean water, electricity and road.”

He therefore warned Honorable Hamat Bah to concentrate on his NRP and stop accusing people wrongly, as NRP took last in the election of Niamina by election.

“Let them not fool anyone that without being at the NPP development will not be granted because supporting NPP is not a force but by choice and I will continue to serve GDC as long as am living,” he vowed.

Meanwhile, he noted that State House is not there for any party it is for all and we believe that 2021 victory shall be theirs (GDC).

Madam Remy Jagne GDC’s National women mobilizer disclosed that they all know that “Honorable Hamat NK Bah is very close to the President Adama Barrow and he should be good instead of bringing tribalism and dividing Adama Barrow and his people.”
