President Adama Barrow will on December 7 embark on a month-long nationwide tour dubbed ‘Meet the People’s Tour’ but he will take break during the Christmas eves, State House has said.
Under the country’s laws, the President tour the nation to hear from the public plights and needs and proffer his government approach to addressing those concerns.
“His Excellency President Adama Barrow will embark on a month-long ‘Meet the People Tour’ starting Monday, 7th December 2020, State House says. The tour is a constitutional requirement for the head of state to meet and dialogue with the people on the impact of the Government’s policies on their lives and livelihoods,” State House said in a statement.
Presidency says the tour will end on 7th January 2020 with intervals of rest days including the public holidays for Christmas and the New Year, State House added.
