Two coronavirus patients get psychological support

Two coronavirus patients have received psychological first aid services, the ministry of health has announced.

The duos support comes as no new COVID-19 positive case registered as well as no new test returned indeterminant.

But there inconclusive 6 patients in self-isolation newly recovered and got discharged by the virtual clinics.

The Ministry of health said: “2 new COVID-19 patients received psychological first aid services this week,” adding: “A total of 133 COVID-19 related psychotherapy/trauma counselling/trauma therapy provided to 63 clients by the psychosocial branch of the response.”

“The country currently has no person in quarantine, 30 active cases ⃰and a crude case-fatality

Also, a 72-year-old man died of coronavirus after spending days in admission at the Medical Research Council in Fajara.

The ministry of health said: “One new COVID-19 related death recorded, bringing the death toll to 121 – a crude case-fatality ratio of 3.3%,” adding: “The new deceased case was a 72 – year – old male who had been admitted at the MRC Fajara Clinic for a serious comorbid condition.”

The ministry of health however said: “3 new COVID-19 cases registered, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases ever confirmed in the country to 3684. This represents a 1.4% test positivity rate (3 out of 212 total tests performed) The median age of the new COVID-19 cases is 35 (range: 23 – 47 years).”

“212 new laboratory test results received (37 from and 175 from NPHL) o No new test returned indeterminant / inconclusive 9 patients in self-isolation newly recovered and got discharged by the virtual clinics. The country currently has no person in quarantine, 36 active cases ⃰and a crude case-fatality ratio of 3.3%.”
