New acting DG for GTBoard, Hydara redeployed to Foreign Affairs

Following the dissolution of the Board of Directors of the Gambia Tourism Board on Wednesday, Abubacarr Camara former Director of Licensing and Quality Control has been appointed the new acting Director General of the Gambia Tourism Board while Abdoulie Hydara now redeployed to Foreign Affairs.

However, the Minister of Tourism and Culture confirmed the dissolution of the Board’s governing council and the appointments to The Voice.

He disclosed that “The GTBoard’s governing council has been dissolved, Abdoulie Hydara, former Director General (Gambia Tourism Board) has been moved to (Foreign Affairs) be deputy ambassador in Nigeria and Abubacarr Camara is now appointed as the acting Director General.”

But the reason(s) behind the dissolution of the board members of the GTBoard, redeployment and appointment still not known hence it is not disclose by the Ministry.

However, members of the dissolved Board of Directors of the GTBoard claimed they were not serve with any letter to inform them about the dissolution.

In the meantime, Minister Bah disclosed that they will soon swear in new governing council for the board.
